The Stress & Mood Management Program is being offered for free as part of a research study that will examine the relationship between stress and diabetes.

The best way to learn about the study is to speak to one of the researchers.  Click Here to provide your name and phone number so that the researchers can call you and discuss the program.  This conversation is to provide you with information about the study. You have no obligation to participate.
We want to see how managing your stress affects your blood glucose levels.  If you agree to participate in this study, we will ask you to give your doctor permission to tell us your A1c level. A1c is a blood test that provides an average of your blood glucose over the past 3 months, it is often measured as part of routine appointments with the doctor who is helping you manage your diabetes. We will want to know your A1c before and after you participate in the study.

There will be 2 study groups.  One group will be given access to the program immediately and the other group will be placed on a waiting list and can take part in the program after they complete the final questionnaire and we receive their second A1c level from their doctors.

Here is an example schedule:

Week 1: You will complete an online questionnaire that asks you questions about your mood and how diabetes affects your life.

Weeks 2 to 5: You will spend about 30 minutes each week participating in the online Stress& Mood Management program or you will be on the study waiting list and will not have any study-related responsibilities.

Week 6: You will complete an online questionnaire that asks you questions about your mood and how diabetes affects your life.

Weeks 7 to 10: You will spend about 30 minutes each week participating in the online Stress & Mood Management program or you will be on the study waiting list and will not have any study-related responsibilities.
